• Hành Trang Cá Nhân/ Personal Items:

  • Đồng phục GĐPT (thường phục) | Informal BYA uniform (to be worn during Opening ceremony)

  • Lễ phục GĐPT (dùng cho lễ thọ cấp) | Formal BYA ceremonial uniform - if you're attending the Leaders Ascension Ceremony

  • Đồ hóa trang | Camp costumes 

  • 3 t-shirts (you will get one camp t-shirt at check-in that will be worn on Sunday)

    • To easily recognize and find your team members, it is recommended/optional that you wear these colored t-shirts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The shirt does not have to have GĐPT-logo: 

      1. Đỏ (Red): Thành/City Thăng Long

      2. Vàng (Yellow): Thành/City Phú Xuân

      3. Xanh lá (Green): Thành/City Gia Định

      4. Htr không nằm trong các Thành mặc màu lam | Leaders not assigned to a City wear gray.

      5. Phụ huynh và OV mặc màu xanh dương | Parents and Oanh Vũ wear blue.

  • 3 pairs of shorts or pants for sports

  • 5 Pairs of socks: Extra pairs in case some get wet

  • Pajamas

  • Underwear: Enough for the entire duration of the camp

  • Shoes with good traction: Important for safety during outdoor activities

  • Water shoes (for canoeing, swimming in the lake)

  • Sandals (for use in the restrooms / take shower)

  • Swimming suit (Please be conservative. No bikinis. Ladies wearing 2-piece must wear a t-shirt over the swimsuit. Gentlemen must wear shorts, no speedo.)

  • Cap/hat (unless you want to wear your GĐPT hat throughout the entire camp)

  • Jacket, raincoat: (check the weather forecast here) - Texas is hot in summer, don't over pack on these items

  • Bedding and Sleeping:

    • Sleeping bag or twin sheets and blankets (even if you're the lucky person who gets a bed, you will still need bed sheets)

    • Sleeping pad/air mattress (because there are not enough beds for everyone)

    • Pillow for a good night's sleep (optional - you can use your backpack)

  • Personal Hygiene/wellness:

    • Personal toiletries: Including soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, and deodorant

    • Bath towel

    • Face/hand towel

    • Lip balm to prevent chapped lips

    • Sunscreen

    • Personal medication

  • Items for Games and Activities

    • 1 pen

    • 1 permanent marker

    • 1 little notebook

    • 1 roll of duct tape (any color)

    • 10 ft of kitchen foil

  • Miscellaneous:

    • Flashlight: Very important for nighttime

    • Water bottle: Reusable, as disposable bottles are not allowed

    • Backpack: For carrying your daily essentials

    • Trash bag for dirty clothes: Helps keep your clean and dirty clothes separate

    • Power bank (portable phone and other electronics charger): because there are limited outlets

Optional Items:

• Life jacket (for all water activities in the lake -- because camp facility does not have enough for everyone)

• Pickleball paddles and balls

• Bicycle

• Lawn chairs

• Scooter, Segway, ...

• Money: For purchasing souvenirs, memorabilia, and snacks

NOTE Items:

• There will be many merchandise (air mattress, hats, water bottles, GDPT batches, ...) and snacks for sale.

Do Not Bring:

• Jewelry and expensive items

• Knives and other sharp objects

• Electronic games

Label Everything: Use a permanent marker to put your name on all items, including towels, clothes, water bottles, cameras, and especially on your bedding essentials/linens.

Packing efficiently and following the camp's guidelines will ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience at Camp Grady Spruce. Double-check your list before you leave to make sure you've got everything, and remember to keep your belongings labeled and organized.
